MM21 (MinatoMirai 21) JR Sakuragicho Station posted 5/16, last: 5/16

Yokohama's largest business/leisure district developed on a landfill site

Featured: Marine Park, Landmark Tower, Nippon Maru, Sakuragi-cho Bus terminal

Marine Park

Located at the tip of the MM21 district and faces the end of Yokohama Port. Left one overlooking the Bay Bridge. My favorite park in Yokohama.

Playground for kids and a nice garden.

Overlooking the Bay Bridge

Morons fishin'. One, the sea here is too shallow for most fish. Two, the bottom is rocky so you can't expect to find mud-based fishes. Three, there ain't no fish in May. The building at the back is the International Continental Hotel, a classy one for tourists, international conferences, foreign visitors, etc.

Landmark Tower

The only real tall building in this part of Yokohama. They named it right because you can see this from anywhere in Yokohama which helps you find your location.

From right under, and the main MM21 buildings, from Honcho street. These two photos have been retouched using Photo Deluxe (resulting in a memory freeze). Will retouch others if I find time.

Nippon Maru (the sailed one)

This ship is docked, or actually exhibited near the Landmark Tower for visitors to come onboard.

This area near JR Sakuragicho Station is filled with amusement facilities like squares, concert halls, shopping malls, "dockyard gardens," other event spaces and an amusement park you see behind the left photo.

Sakuragicho Bus Terminal

The right side is the bus terminal. See, the bus terminal is crowded whereas the taxi stop is empty as seen in the right photo. Most places in Yokohama can be accessed by bus. Coming by car will only frustrate you because there are scarcely places to park.

Bus Stop No. 1 located closest to the Landmark Tower. Take Line 26 to visit the Honmoku Fishing Park and the place we live. Don't take 26 if you are going elsewhere like Chinatown because there are tons of other buses that go to th
